BIOGRAPHY. born in maryland in the 1900s, vincent’s life was a relatively easy one. coming from a stable middle class home and breezing through college, he never had to want for anything. That didn’t stop him from manufacturing desire. starting as a humble weatherman, earning good money and having a solid position, he soon found that this life wasn’t enough for him. and what quicker way to the top was there than murdering the competition?years after his start in television, he soon rose to be a powerful influence across multiple studios and used this power to broadcast his own propaganda through the airwaves. gone were the days of truth; whatever he said was law and a new era of entertainment was coming on fast. one where he decided what was right and wrong, what was truth and what was fiction.this was how he met his end, however, where during one of his attempts at mass murder, a television fell on him and electrocuted not just his followers but himself.waking up in hell, after much difficulty with his new body and specifically his new television head, the man previously known as vincent whittman adopted a new name: VOX. continuing his goal of amassing power, it wasn’t long before he became an overlord crossed paths with the famed RADIO DEMON and made quick friends with him. however after a falling out he moved onto better pastures (fuck you alastor you pompous prick), and a little over two decades later found himself in partnership with valentino, a rising porn star who blossomed into an overlord himself under the ever watchful influence of vox.it was even longer still until he joined with velvette, a young and powerful new social media doll demon, completing their triad: THE VEES. with their massive influence over hell, they rule not only the entertainment district, but the internet as well.ABOUT. vox is smarmy, self serving, obsessive, insecure, and possessive with a desperate need to have more and more until he’s finally satisfied. the only problem is that he’s never satisfied. aching after the rejection of his first and only heartbreak, he’s often closed off about his more vulnerable desires, only ever allowing himself to feel lust, greed, and wrath. though he is an unforgivable piece of shit, there are slivers of humanity that peek through from time to time: getting food for his business partner because he hates it when he doesn’t eat, talking him and his associates out of messy situations where they could get hurt, thinking about love lost and wondering if it’s worth it to have love gained, and doting on his adorable pet shark, the true light of his life. however his caring, gentle, hurt aspects are buried under so many masks, they’re often lost to him.

BASICS. no homophobia, transphobia, racism, or bigotry will be allowed here. i know that vox has done some bigoted things in canon, and i don’t try to act like he didn’t, but as an asian man i’m not comfortable incorporating that into his character. i do allow minor god modding if it furthers the plot but please do it in good faith. non exclusive but i will have mains. mutuals only.I. NO DISCOURSE. first and foremost this is not a place for discourse. i will occasionally complain about my own gripes with the show and i will never shy away from harmful things that the creator has done, but this is a place for fun and enjoyment, not a place to argue. i enjoy the show. i recognize that it has triggering elements and themes. i believe that these things deserve to be depicted. i do not believe that the show always has the most sensitive or nuanced depictions of these triggering elements. sometimes i might talk about my thoughts about how the show portrays SA, drug use, abuse, assault, and other things, but it will be done for the purpose of looking at these things from a narrative point of view. this is a hobby, not activism and as a victim of several of these topics myself i have the right to shut down discussions on my blog that i do not want to partake in.I. SIDENOTE. yes this includes anything involving valentino. he’s a horrible shitty person, that doesn’t make him a horrible character. vox is not innocent to the knowledge of val’s actions; he is aware of his abuse towards angel and as we see in season 2, participates in it. i will never write these things without tagging and plotting with my rp partner and they will be under readmore. i do not condone the bad things that they have done but i won’t act like they haven’t done them. though i owe no one anything of my own personal experiences, as a survivor myself i choose to write and reclaim my own trauma through exploring dark topics, so long as the person i am writing with is also comfortable with it. this is not the same as real life endorsement of these actions.II. TRIGGERING TOPICS. this blog will talk about and touch on subjects of SA, violence, abuse, drug and alcohol usage, eating disorders, manipulation, and assault. I do not condone or approve of these actions. vox, while having depth and vulnerability at times, is a bad person. i will tag everything with the appropriate trigger warning when it is brought up and absolutely will NOT write about such topics with an rp partner without discussing with them first. i don’t care if you write me a starter with these things in them without plotting though.III. CHARACTERIZATION. vox is an asshole. he’s manipulative, smarmy, egotistical, possessive, obsessive, and is a walking red flag from head to toe. he puts on a calm and charming face that can be easily broken. this means that, if we’re not plotting something, he will most likely be kind of a dick or fake as fuck to your character by default. however i always value and put my rp partner’s comfort first and foremost. if at any point you’re not having fun or enjoying his bitchery, just drop a lil note in the tag or dm me and i can change things up a little bit. i will also have plenty of verses and aus where he’s not a complete raging asshole so don’t worry! we have the voxtek variety guarantee here.

IV. SEXUAL CONTENT. as stated in my description, this is an 18+ blog. i will not write with anyone under 18 and will not engage in any sexual roleplay with anyone under 20. this blog will feature sexual content, given the nature of both the show and of who vox is as a person. though this blog does allow for sexual content and is more than fine with rping freak shit (to quote val ‘there’s a kink for that’), sexual content is not the main goal or focus of this blog. but if you have ideas don’t be shy to let that freak flag fly, i’m down for almost anything, just ask.V. SHIPPING + RELATIONSHIPS. now onto the fun stuff. i love shipping, never be afraid to throw your character at vox. canons, crossovers, ocs, i love it all. despite his difficult nature, vox is a character who lives for praise and to please, which means that most ships are within the realm of possibility (however they might be toxic if that sounds like fun to you). and i also love other relationships with him! give him a best friend, a new enemy, an employee, someone he hates, someone he begrudgingly cares for! i love preestablished relationships so if you want to dive right in with a dynamic just let me know; this can be either extensive plotting in DMs or just a note in the tags, either is fine. on the note of preestablished relationships, if you play a character from the show that vox knows and has a relationship with (especially the vees or alastor), i will write him to the canon unless you would like to plot otherwise! i’m completely fine with changing canon dynamics, having first introductions, or different preestablished relationships with people he knows!V. SIDENOTE. i ship almost everything when it comes to canon characters, though i do have a personal preference towards radiostatic, staticmoth, casinostatic, applemedia, and polyvees. i will never turn down any other ships or prefer these ships to others, but i will reblog more art content of them. i am also not ship exclusive; i will ship with multiple versions of the same muse, all within different verses with partner specific tags if we get that far! i do have mains though.VI. PLOTTING. short and sweet, i love plotting. please come and plot with me about things, if you’re unsure on how to write a starter or have an au idea just let me know!VII. VERSE I. YOU’RE PRETTY NEW YOURSELF. CRT vox era. here he’s friends with alastor, a rising overlord, and despite his deceptive and manipulative nature, hasn’t yet fully given into hell and is stuck between embracing the sins of his life that got him here or trying to atone for them. this often leads him to be a bit kinder to strangers, a bit more vulnerable to those he’s close to, and overall slightly gentler. however old habits die hard and no matter how much he’s questioning his life choices, he can’t seem to stop wanting to climb his way to the top. whatever lingering guilt he has is often squashed by his associate, a demon who he’s slowly forming an attraction to despite being a man. his uncertainty over not just his actions but of his own sexuality as well either make him careful gentleman or a volatile asshole. no inbetween. also includes the time after alastor’s rejectionVERSE II. IT’S BEEN SEVEN YEARS. takes place during alastor’s seven year absence and the start of the exterminations. with angels now let loose on pentagram city once a year, it’s a perfect time to expand the voxtek empire! new products, less competition, more desperation. it’s the perfect conditions to go to the top. though it would be better if alastor was there, so he could shove it in his face. and the desperation to gather more and more power might have just the smallest thing to do with keeping his two associates safe from the slaughter. but probably not.VERSE III. THE FUTURE OF HELL BELONGS TO THE VEES. season one compliant. not much different.VERSE IV. ONCE WE GET UP THERE. season two compliant. not much different.VERSE V. YOU ARE NOT FUCKING KILLING US OVER THAT STUPID DEER. post season two. officially at rock bottom, vox is stuck transferring his consciousness to his old head and an old body, downgrading himself back to the nobody he was when he first entered hell. with no power, no influence, and a very pissed moth and doll constantly bitching at him, he can’t really sink much lower. most days he finds comfort in food and bad television; whenever he isn’t getting his shit knocked in (deservedly) by his previous associates. locked away in the renovating vee tower to keep from fucking up more, he’s very rarely let out unless it’s to do petty errands like an intern. through his bitter self loathing and desperate need for revenge, there’s the tiniest bit of self reflection about what his actions, himself, and what it meant to him to be a team…along with the tiniest thought towards the concept of redemption; at least in the eyes of velvette and especially valentino.

AU I. GO SAY YOUR GOODBYES TO YOUR LIES TO YOUR KINGDOM. season two au focusing on the concept that vox really does believe in the cause for resistance. still using the movement for his own gain, his anger towards heaven and what it’s done to the people of hell is genuine; if anyone is going to torment his fellow demons, it’s going to be him. genuinely picking up where lilith left off, vox will stop at nothing to get heaven’s attention, to get atonement for the sins of the celestial beings known as angels, as well as revenge.AU II. WE COULD RULE HELL TOGETHER AS PARTNERS. classic style AV au where alastor accepted vincent’s offer to work together to rule hell. now, several years later, it’s both the best and worst thing to ever happen to him. their partnership is volatile, intense, and perfect, with both of them being gleeful villains running amok around the pentagram, whenever they aren’t entertaining themselves with torturing and besting the other. just as dysfunctional as their canonical relationship, but with the added layer of being there for each other when needed. here vincent never stuck with the name change, nor did he swap out his head. he’s much more of an old school charmer, jovial in his deception, and with a pretty perfect smile on his picture box at all times.AU III. FUCK THAT’S MY CIRCUS AND THOSE ARE MY MONKEYS. completely divergent au. after being rejected by alastor, in a fit of heartbreak and rage, vincent went on a bender of power resulting in half a district being completely flatted and singed by his electricity. such a display of power from such a new sinner got the attention of a very influential figure: lilith. ever the woman to lift up and encourage sinners, she offered him a very impressive position; her pr manager. deciding to show up alastor by buddying up with the royalty to overthrow them, vincent graciously accepted and started putting his plan in motion…only to still be working as her most trusted personal assistant and advisor decades later. but with lilith’s disappearance and the exterminations, he could finally rise to power and take over the stupid royal family like he always wanted! well…after he gets the estate in order of course. can’t have loose ends. like the princess and her stupid hotel. which he is only working at and helping her with to make sure she doesn’t gum up his play for power. obviously, it’s not like he cares for this girl he’s watched grow up for the last seventy years. and its not like some small part of him hopes that her dream might just be true. he can play the part of media and pr manager for the hotel and it’s promotion for now. only until his plans (which are definitely real and he has definitely been plotting) are ready to be enacted. in this au he will act more familiar and slightly friendlier to any of the hotel crew while being more distrusting and hostile to anyone outside of it.
